ODWEINE DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE ORGANIZATION (ODAWO)  

Founded in 2007, ODAWO is a non-profit local development organization that focuses on youth capacity building to alleviate poverty. Headquarted in Hargaysa, Somaliland, and ODAWO works with government. Donors, partners, businesses, institutes and communities to improve the quality of life for the Somali vulnerable people in Togdheer, Sool and Sanaag regions of Somaliland.  ODAWO works in five sectors: - Agriculture, Environment, Energy and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Relief/Livelihood.  ODAWO contributes to solving leading global problems through local solutions that results in lasting change. ODAWO focuses on enabling four factors which consided essential for youth-led sustainable development- contextualized solutions, inclusive development, systematic change and local ownership. This is to empower communities to alleviate poverty and guide their own development.
